Australian Venue Co Net Zero Strategy

2XE were engaged by Australian Venue Co to develop the company’s Net Zero Emissions Strategy and emissions disclosure reporting to the board and investors and is currently leading the detailed assessment of energy, waste, and water efficiency opportunities across the company’s growing portfolio of over 200 venues

IKEA Net Zero Strategy

2XE were engaged by IKEA on a variety of projects over the last 8 years, including the development of their net zero emissions strategy for their Australian portfolio of stores and assets. The process involved establishing a Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions inventory, assessment of emissions reduction opportunities, and development of a net zero emissions pathway and strategic plan.

Hunter New England Health Net Zero Strategy

Australia’s largest health district, Hunter New England Health, engaged 2XE to develop a Net Zero Emissions by 2030 strategy and action plan across its growing asset base of over 120 hospitals and clinics across New South Wales. By involving key stakeholders across key divisions throughout the organization, 2XE’s process involved developing a Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions profile, identification and evaluation of improvement opportunities, development of a strategy and action plans to drive investment over the next 8 years.

Best & Less Net Zero Strategy

As an iconic Australian value apparel retailer, Best and less engaged 2XE to define a greenhouse gas emissions boundary and develop an emissions inventory for the Company’s stores and asset portfolio. With this data in-hand, Best & Less were able to understand their major drivers of greenhouse gas emissions, and evaluate a range of emissions reduction measures across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission sources. With projects identified and prioritised, Best & Less were able to develop a practical Net Zero Emissions Pathway with a supporting set of time-based emissions reduction targets.

G’Day Group Net Zero Program Management

2XE were engaged by the G’Day Group (Discovery Holiday Parks) to lead the development of an emissions reduction strategy across Discovery’s growing portfolio of over 85 parks and resorts across Australia, and currently leads the management of the company’s energy and net zero emissions program (including engineering services associated with the roll-out of energy efficiency, renewable energy, sub-metering, waste efficiency, water conservation, and ESD in the design of new park developments).

Blackmores Net Zero Program Management

2XE were engaged by Blackmores to develop their Net Zero Emissions to 2030 Strategy for their entire operations and portfolio of assets. Key steps in our engagement included establishing emissions forecasts. consolidating and categorise emissions reduction opportunities, and developing a 10-year Roadmap and 2-year Action Plan. As a result of 2XE’s work, the CEO of Blackmores formally announced the company’s Net Zero Carbon commitment to the Australian Stock Exchange in June 2020. 2XE have been retained by Blackmores to support ongoing management and roll-out of projects to achieve the 2030 target.

SunRice Net Zero Program Management

2XE were engaged by SunRice, one of the world’s largest integrated rice producers, to deliver a company-wide energy management program and Net Zero Emissions Pathway, including establishing energy and carbon baselines and BAU forecasts across all key assets, establishing an energy data platform specification for use in future market engagement and procurement, developing the energy strategy and Net Zero Emissions Pathway, and conducting a detailed evaluation of renewable energy opportunities across the portfolio. 2XE is currently engaged by SunRice to support the implementation of the net zero pathway across the company.

Large Wine Portfolio Company Power Purchase Agreement

2XE were engaged by one of Australia’s largest wine producers to help secure a renewable power purchase agreement for their wineries and vineyard portfolio. Our work involved market-sounding, developing a tender brief, managing the tender process and supporting the company with contract negotiation. The resulting PPA offer provided a 7-year contract term with a cost saving of over $1m per annum based on their existing rates.

Blackmores Renewable Hydrogen Feasibility Study

2XE were engaged by Blackmores to evaluate renewable process heat and hydrogen opportunities for their Braeside operations. The process involved modelling existing thermal systems, assess opportunities for renewable hydrogen technology application, evaluate gaps and technical/commercial challenges, and develop business cases.

Hunter New England Health Portfolio-wide Solar PV Assessments

2XE were engaged by the NSW Government to deliver a series of solar PV assessments across 40 sites in HNEH’s hospitals and clinics portfolio. The process involved modelling solar size/capacity, conducting electrical and infrastructure assessments, coordinating certified structural assessments and developing business cases for investment.

Calabria Family Wines Energy Management System

2XE were engaged by Calabria Family Wines to develop their Energy Management System (EnMS) aligned to the ISO 50001 EnMS Standard. The project involved coaching key personnel at the business in terms of energy management systems, processes, and structures. The coaching includes helping the business implement specific projects to improve energy performance and provide a framework for continuing to improve their energy management system.
